The Texas Trail of Fame has, since it’s inception in 1997, used the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering as the background for our annual induction ceremony. Red Steagall has postponed his annual gathering for 2020 until the fourth weekend in October 2021. We have decided to follow suite and postpone the 2020 Texas Trail of Fame’s annual induction ceremony until October 23, 2021.
The 2020 inductees will be announced soon and they will be inducted with the 2021 inductees on October 23, 2021.
We will be taking nominations for 2021 inductees until May 1, 2021. The candidates must have helped create, and or preserved, our Western heritage. Applications can be found here on our website TexasTrailofFame.Org. please include a photograph if possible. Hope to see you at our induction ceremony in 2021.
MORE INFORMATION TO COME ON EXACT HOURS AND LOCATION!
Celebrating Texas culture and our western heritage, The Texas Trail of Fame was established to honor those individuals who have made a significant contribution to our Western way of life. Throughout the walkways of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, bronze inlaid markers have been placed in recognition of their achievements. These markers are patterned after a frontier marshall’s badge and are inscribed with the honoree’s name.
It is the desire of the Texas Trail of Fame that reflecting upon these Westerner’s accomplishments will serve as both an educational adventure for the visitor and an inspiration.
