The Military Museum of Fort Worth has been in operation for 8 years, but is a recent addition to the attractions of the Fort Worth Stockyards. We are a non-profit museum with an all-volunteer staff that is dedicated to sharing the stories and sacrifices of men, women and units from the 20th Century with a Texas connection. By combining the display of actual artifacts with the soldier's story who owned them we are able to educate in a way that leaves a lasting memory and enriching experience for all age groups. Enjoy the stories from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, or the Gulf Wars as you learn a slice of history through the experiences of a citizen soldier who answered the call of duty. To inspire the next generation we also offer unique hands on opportunities to handle and take photos with various military weapons and items on hand to cement the stories they learn here.
To accomplish our mission of preserving this history we depend on a small admission fee, or donations, to stay in operation and keep these stories alive. Veterans and active duty soldiers, and kids 12 and under are always FREE.
